By downloading, installing, or using SteadyFuel ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms apply to all versions of SteadyFuel on all platforms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law in your country of residence.
SteadyFuel is a nutrition tracking and AI coaching application for Android. It allows users to log food intake, set macro goals, track progress, and optionally access AI-generated meal suggestions and nutrition analysis. SteadyFuel is part of the Steady app ecosystem by Orivent Studios.
Core features are available free of charge. Premium features are available through in-app purchases as described in Section 4.
SteadyFuel creates an anonymous Firebase account automatically on first launch — no sign-up required for core features. Signing in with Google is optional but required to make in-app purchases and to restore purchases after reinstalling.
Three access tiers exist:
You are responsible for maintaining the security of any Google account associated with your SteadyFuel purchases.
All purchases are processed by Google Play. Payment terms, refund policies, and billing practices are governed by Google Play's Terms of Service in addition to these Terms.
Plus is a non-consumable in-app purchase. Once purchased, it is permanently associated with your Google Play account. You can restore Plus on any device by tapping "Restore Purchases" in the app's Store screen while signed in to the same Google account.
Pro is a recurring monthly subscription. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time through your Google Play subscription management. Upon cancellation, Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period. No partial-period refunds are provided for cancelled subscriptions unless required by applicable law.
Fuel Credits are consumable in-app purchases that grant access to individual AI feature uses. Credits are fulfilled server-side with idempotent purchase protection to prevent double-crediting. Credits do not expire. Credits are non-refundable once used. Unused credits are refundable within the Google Play refund window if you have not used any credits from that purchase.
Refund requests for all purchases must be submitted through Google Play. We do not process refunds directly. Google Play's standard refund policy applies.
AI-powered features (Suggest a Meal, Analyse My Day, Generate Meal Plan) are powered by Google's Gemini API via server-side Cloud Functions. By using AI features, you agree to the following:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App for violations of these Terms.
SteadyFuel, including its name, logo, design, code, and content, is owned by Orivent Studios and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
Food data contributed to the App via the Open Food Facts database is licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL). Bundled food data is for your personal tracking use only.
AI-generated content (meal suggestions, nutrition analyses, meal plans) is generated dynamically and is not owned by Orivent Studios. You may use AI-generated content for your personal nutrition planning purposes.
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time from Settings → Account. Deleting your account removes your Firestore data within 30 days but does not automatically cancel active Pro subscriptions — cancel those via Google Play before deleting your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App if we determine that you have violated these Terms, with or without notice.
Upon termination, all licences granted under these Terms cease. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 6, 8, 10, and 11) will survive.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of data, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Orivent Studios and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of data, health outcomes resulting from following AI-generated nutrition advice, or loss of revenue — arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Where local law prohibits limitation of liability, these limitations apply only to the extent permitted.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes within the App before they take effect. Continued use of SteadyFuel after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
